In week ending Jan. 27, local indicators for influenza remained high, and indicators for COVID-19 remained elevated. Indicators for RSV continued to decline, but are still above local baselines.

1.9% of emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to COVID-19, 1.1% were attributable to influenza, and fewer than 10 visits were attributable to RSV. Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 67 positive COVID-19 tests (14.5% of specimens tested), 55 positive influenza tests (48 influenza A, 7 influenza B; 11.2% of specimens tested), and 15 positive RSV tests (5.0% of specimens tested).

On average, around 11 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center were in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been eight COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and two influenza outbreaks.
