In week ending on Jan. 20, local indicators for influenza and RSV remained high, but were declining for the second consecutive week. COVID-19 remained elevated.

2.5% of emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to COVID-19, 0.7% were attributable to RSV, and fewer than 10 visits were attributable to influenza. Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 72 positive COVID-19 tests (14.2% of specimens tested), 42 positive influenza tests (34 influenza A, 8 influenza B; 9.3% of specimens tested), and 17 positive RSV tests (7.9% of specimens tested).

On average, around 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center were in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients. Vital records have identified two COVID-19-associated deaths and no influenza-associated deaths occurring in the past 28 days.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been seven COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and one influenza outbreak.
