In the week ending April 27, local indicators for influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) remained low.

Fewer than 10 emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to any one of the three monitored respiratory viruses (COVID-19, influenza, RSV).  Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 19 positive COVID-19 tests (5.4% of specimens tested), 17 positive influenza tests (13 influenza A, 4 influenza B; 7.0% of specimens tested), and 2 positive RSV tests (1.7% of specimens tested).

On average, fewer than 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center have been in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients for the past seven weeks.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been two COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and no influenza outbreaks.
