In the week ending April 20, local indicators for influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) remained low.

Fewer than 10 emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to any one of the three monitored respiratory viruses (COVID-19, influenza, RSV).  Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 21 positive COVID-19 tests (3.7% of specimens tested), 22 positive influenza tests (19 influenza A, 3 influenza B; 4.9% of specimens tested), and 0 positive RSV tests (0% of specimens tested).

On average, fewer than 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center were in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been three COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and no influenza outbreaks.
