In week ending October 5, local indicators for COVID-19 showed low level of activity. Local indicators for influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) remained minimal.

1.7% of emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to COVID-19, and fewer than 10 visits were attributable to either influenza or RSV. Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 47 positive COVID-19 tests (11.4% of specimens tested), 7 positive influenza tests (6 influenza A, 1 influenza B; 3.3% of specimens tested), and 0 positive RSV tests (0.0% of specimens tested).

On average, around 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center were in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been five COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and no influenza outbreaks.
