In the week ending June 22, local indicators for influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) remained low, though COVID-19 indicators have risen back to the slightly elevated levels observed in early March.
1.2% of emergency department visits were attributable to COVID-19, and fewer than 10 emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to either influenza or RSV. Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 56 positive COVID-19 tests (14.1% of specimens tested), 14 positive influenza tests (12 influenza A, 2 influenza B; 7.1% of specimens tested), and 0 positive RSV tests.
On average, fewer than 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center have been in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients for the past 15 weeks.
At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been five COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and no influenza outbreaks.
