In the week ending May 25, local indicators for influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) remained low.

1.1% of emergency department visits were attributable to COVID-19, and fewer than 10 emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to either influenza or RSV.  Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 40 positive COVID-19 tests (9.0% of specimens tested), 12 positive influenza tests (9 influenza A, 3 influenza B; 4.4% of specimens tested), and 2 positive RSV tests (1.2% of specimens tested).

On average, fewer than 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center have been in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients for the past 11 weeks.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been no COVID-19 or influenza outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks.
