In week ending on March 30, local indicators for influenza continued to approach baseline levels. Indicators for COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) remained low.

0.7% of emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to COVID-19, 0.7% were attributable to influenza, and fewer than 10 visits were attributable to RSV. Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 26 positive COVID-19 tests (5.0% of specimens tested), 25 positive influenza tests (12 influenza A, 13 influenza B; 6.2% of specimens tested), and 2 positive RSV tests (1.0% of specimens tested).

On average, fewer than 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center were in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been four COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and no influenza outbreaks.
